Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman executed some major plays in the team’s dominating 29-3 win over the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers in Sunday’s game.
What could be the biggest highlight reel of the whole day happened early in the fourth quarter. The 6-foot 3-inch, 195-pound cornerback intercepted a pass from 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and an entertaining celebration dance with Seahawk cheerleader ensued after his 28-yard return.
After the play was completed, Cris Collinsworth of NBC Sports had this to say:
“Let’s face it—Richard Sherman does not like (49ers head coach) Jim Harbaugh. He thinks he’s a big reason why he didn’t go higher in the draft (selected No. 154 overall in the fifth round in 2011).
“He was told that Harbaugh had negative things to say about him to scouts that came over and he said’tonight folks, if I look over at the 49ers sideline I am not looking at one of the players.”
