On the season premiere of “Life After” Season 5, “Sheryl Lee Ralph: Life After Dreamgirls,” Ralph recalls the moment she realized it was time to move on from “Dreamgirls.” She explains, “I will never forget one night when I went on stage and all of a sudden I couldn’t remember a thing. The stage manager thought my mic was dead, and the on-deck stage manager thought my brain is dead.” That’s when she realized it was time to move on.
