Producer Datari Turner Says ‘Lap Dance’ is the Greatest Stripper Film Ever

Check out the latest clip of “Lap Dance,” a film which writer Datari Turner proclaims the greatest film ever made about the life of a stripper.

“Lap Dance” is described as a modern “Indecent Proposal” that follows Monica (Ali Cobrin)an aspiring actress who “makes a pact with her fiance to take a job as an exotic dancer to care for her cancer-stricken father.”

Gregory Carter directed and co-wrote the script with Turner. The film was produced through Turner’s production company along with Imprint Entertainment.

“Lap Dance” features an ensemble cast of actors: Mariel Hemingway, James Remar, Lynn Whitfield, Omari Hardwick, Carmen Electra, Lisa Raye, Robert Hoffman, Briana Evigan, Nia Peoples, Datari Turner, Omar Gooding, Keith Robinson, Lew Temple, Stacey Dash, Obba Babatunde, Quinton Aaron, K.D. Aubert, Christian Keyes, Wesley Jonathan, Terrell ‘T.O.’ Owens, Ron Jeremy, and Dennis White.

The film screened this summer at the American Black Film Festival in Miami to mixed reviews.
