TMZ’s cameraman caught up with the former NBA star, and in a lively exchange, T-Mac said that Kobe Bryant was the toughest opponent he ever had to guard—omitting Jordan, Iverson, and James. “Kobe all day,” McGrady said, “ain’t nobody close.” He did, however, go on to say that he didn’t play Jordan in his prime.
According to TMZ, McGrady was probably responding to Bryant’s recent praise of him, that he was the hardest player Bryant ever had to guard.
