Baby North West will make her television debut when her dad, Kanye West, makes an appearance on Kris Jenner’s daytime talk show, Kris, on Friday.
According to E! News, audience members who attended the taping earlier this week witnessed Kanye proudly showing off a picture of his baby daughter with Kim Kardashian for the world to see.
MTV reports that during Monday’s taping, the baby’s photo was flashed on the screen very quickly, so that nobody could snap photos of the image. The photo will apparently be on display for a much longer time when the episode airs.
On Tuesday, distributor Twentieth TV released a photo, shown below, from the forthcoming episode showing West making his appearance.
Sources close to the talk show would say only that Friday’s episode is a “must watch,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jenner promised a big surprise before the show debuted in July, so this may be the event she was referring to. In addition, there may be a come-up motive behind debuting her granddaughter on her talk show, a typical Kardashian strategy.
Friday’s episode marks the last day of a six-week test run of Kris, and executives will use it to decide whether to move forward. Unleashing the photo is likely to give the show a ratings boost, which Jenner hopes will nudge the executives in the direction of making a commitment to extend it beyond the test-run period.
Friday’s broadcast has sparked speculation about who baby North looks like.
E! News quotes an eyewitness saying, “North is very beautiful. She has big cheeks, a lighter complexion than Kanye, but closer to Kanye’s color than Kim’s. She has straight black hair and almond eyes just like Kim. She has a round face and is really cute.”
Jenner’s Kris airs in select markets: Fox 5 in New York City (11 a.m.), Fox 11 in Los Angeles (3 p.m.), Fox 9 in Minneapolis (noon), Fox 19 in Phoenix (11 a.m.) and Fox 4 in Dallas (3 p.m.).
