What You’ve Been Waiting For: Andre 3000’s New Album

It’s been years since we’ve had a solo album from Outkast rapper Andre 3000.

The Atlanta star hasn’t put out a new record since 2006 when he did “Idlewild.” Since then he’s pursuing other ventures, most notably his acting career, as he stars in an upcoming biopic of rock legend Jimi Hendrix called “All By My Side.” The only taste Andre 3000 fans have been able to get of him musically has been through features on the songs of other artists like Beyonce, Young Jeezy, Frank Ocean and T.I., to name a few. But that may changing in the near future.

BET Executive Stephen Hill ran into Andre 3000 backstage at the Lil Wayne and T.I “America’s Most Wanted Tour” in Washington D.C. and the Dre reportedly told Hill that he has a new album coming out at the beginning of next year. Hill posted his exchange with Andre  on Twitter:

Although this rumor has not been confirmed by Andre 3000 or any of his representatives, it still has fans buzzing as they patiently wait for something new from the beloved artist.

The ATLien was also seen the studio with producer Mike Will last month. Check the video of Andre 3000 and Mike Will below.
