In the next “Love Thy Neighbor,” first season, 17th episode, entitled, “Love Thy Patient,” Hattie slips and falls while working late cleaning the diner. She decides to pretend to be hurt so everyone would take care of her. Linda then throws Hattie a surprise birthday party — against Floyd’s better judgment.
