Rapper Nelly is once again reminded of what he’s missing while ex-girlfriend Ashanti is flaunting her womanly figure on the red carpet. The former Murder Inc. singer strutted onto the red carpet for the premiere of “Grown Ups 2” at AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York in a Rue107 “Fifi” checkered dress.
When she’s not inciting body envy at movie premieres, Ashanti is working overtime to debut her often-delayed fifth studio album. Last month it was announced by her label eOne that the album would be out July 30.
Then UrbanBridgez.com learned exclusively the album was moved to August 20 and NOW eOne confirms Sept. 3.
In an effort to generate additional buzz around the project, Ashanti and her label have released two exclusive remixes of the record (The Allstyle Remix & JButtah Remix) while her current single, “Never Should Have,” is starting to make moves on the charts.
Ashanti remains optimistic about the album saying recently, “I’m super excited about it. I’ve been working really hard. It’s going to be something new and different for me.”
Hopefully her fans won’t have to wait much longer…
