Beyonce rarely does anything on a small scale. Wednesday evening going into Thursday morning was no different. In the span of twenty four hours the “Love on Top” singer premiered the full length version of “Grown Woman” during the Paris stop of world tour Mrs. Carter and she also released the advert for her go as H&M’s sexy spokesperson. (See both videos below)
When the set list was released for the Mrs. Carter World Tour, music pundits criticized Bey for recycling old material. It also been rumored that despite working on her fifth album with the likes of The Dream, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West and others that she’s unhappy with the direction of the sound – hence the ambiguity around an album release date or singles. A test of “Bow Down/I Been On” was not well received by fans while “Grown Woman” was only teased during her Pepsi commercial. Beyonce also used her minute and a half H&M commercial to debut “Standing on the Sun”.
Is the singer doubting herself by teasing so much new material? Check out both videos below – what’s your take?
