Some Superman fans across the globe are itching with anticipation for the June 14 theater release of the upcoming Man of Steel film. They may find some relief to know that today EW magazine featured the Man Of Steel himself on the cover of their latest issue and included some fresh new photos from the film.
While the photos will not reveal any spoilers, the interview with director Sack Snyder was different. He quickly dropped a bombshell confessing, “I’ll be honest with you, there’s no Kryptonite in the movie.” Kyrptonite is glowing green rocks from Superman’s destroyed planet that cripples him whenever he comes in contact with it. It has been a tool for villains to defeat the caped hero in every Superman movie made before. In an effort to give the film a fresh feel, Snyder is omitting the green rocks all together.
The spoiler-safe production stills features actors Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Lawrence Fishurne, Antje Traue, Russel Crowe, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner and Dian Lane, all in character of course.
