After considerable set backs, the indie film Jane got A Gun moved back into the production phase after Bradley Cooper agreed to join the cast. Cooper is replacing Jude Law, who abandoned the film after original director Lynne Ramsay dropped out of the project due to creative differences.
Jane Got A Gun follows a woman who asks an ex-lover for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a gang, which is out to kill him.
The reason for the set backs according to Variety, Michael Fassbender left the film due to scheduling conflicts and Edgerton, who was originally the leader of the gang, filled in for Fassbender and Law signed on to play the villain, but when Ramsay left the project due to creative differences, Law quickly followed.
The new cast features Cooper, Natalie Portman and Joel Edgerton, and Gaving O’connor has signed on as the new director. Everything else appears to be kosher and Jane Got A Gun is scheduled to resume as planned.
