It’s no surprise that Justin Timberlake brought in the big numbers on SNL last night. Whenever those two are together it’s a guaranteed good time.
This time hosting marks Timberlake’s fifth time as host to the comedy sketch show, which as one sketch showed, gave him access to the “five timers club”. The skit featured the rare few who have hosted or performed as the musical guest five or more times. That included Paul Simon, a pipe smoking Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd who only hosted one time therefore he served as the lowly bartender. Also, in the mix were Martin Short, Chevy Chase, Alec Baldwin and Tom Hanks.
The episode just continued to get better and better as SNL alum Andy Samberg and Timberlake reprized their roles as the digital short characters from the classic “Dick in a Box” video.
The next new SNL will be airing on April 6 and the host will be Melissa McCarthy and after Timberlake’s episode, she has some pretty stiff competition.
