Already gearing up for his return as Hans Solo in the upcoming Star Wars film, Harrison Ford has been cast as a well-known newscaster in the upcoming sequel Anchorman 2.
Ford will be playing the legendary Tom Brokaw, in the Will Ferrell led comedy. Perhaps his previous role as an anchorman in the 2010 Morning Glory will help with the preparation. Shooting for the comedy will begin this month in Atlanta.
Many of the original cast members from the first Anchorman flick are reprising their roles including main anchorman himself Ron Burgundy played by Will Ferrell. Also, coming back are Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner. Also, as it was announced earlier this year, Kristen Wigg will be joining the gang for the comedy.
Ford is certainly filling up his calendar quickly, on top of Star Wars and Anchorman 2, you can catch him on April 12 in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42. Also, a new thriller titled Paranoia and a film titled Ender’s Game.
