Chris Brown Goes off on Instagram – "I am NOT Jesus, Not Even Close"

According to his Instagram rant, Chris Brown is mad and he’s not going to take it anymore. The embattled star is fuming over the mounds of negative publicity that he’s been receiving for everything from his scuffle with Frank Ocean to his Jesus comparison. Now, the 23-year old star wants to set the record straight and speak out against the persecution he feels at the hands of the media, critics and even fans.

Responding to some advice from fans instructing the singer to ‘relax,’ Brown said, “Even if I did relax, I wouldn’t stop hearing about it … telling me to ignore it is like telling me to walk around with a blindfold and stick ear plugs in my ear.”

There’s no word on what exactly sparked this latest rant from Brown, but the newest story in the headlines is that the singer faked his community service hours.

Reportedly, when the ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ singer was supposedly picking up trash for his community service stemming from the 2009 assault conviction against Rihanna, he was actually vacationing and attending charity events. In his Instagram rant; which is more than a paragraph long; Brown addressed how he feels about some of his latest headlines.

“I am not ‘him’ [Jesus], not even close!!! I’m a human being and I honestly think I deserve respect, I’m sick of being accused. I’m tired ya’ll just don’t understand I’ve been going through this s— since I was 19 years old … you can’t sit here and tell me to calm down, when am I gonna get a positive outcome out of anything I do? … I’m not gonna sit here and play the victim, I’m just tired of this s— … I pray ever day and night for a new outcome … and just when everything seems to be going good some new s— happens.”

Admittedly, most of us don’t know what it’s like to live our lives in the public eye. Having everything you do and say; and even things you don’t do or say; reported on, speculated about and fed to public as fact has to be hard. In Brown’s case, he has never been able to live down his horrific 2009 domestic violence incident against girlfriend Rihanna. He laid low for a while before returning to performing and seemed to resume a normal life; dating non-celebrity Karrueche Tran.

The recent bout of trouble began when Rihanna’s beau famously, and very publicly, broke up with Tran in a video tapped confession posted to YouTube. Since then, the ‘Nobodies Business’ singer has been spotted with both women; perhaps making him more of a public target. Rihanna fans have shown fierce loyalty to the star and most of the public is decidedly against their relationship. Dating the face for domestic violence for our generation must put more stress on the star, but he’s chosen to head down that road. With that decision, it’s on him to maintain a near flawless image. So far…he’s struggling to do that.

Brown claims to want positivity instead of negative press. However, the star might need a break from the spotlight, a better PR team, some anger management classes and overall therapy to achieve that goal. For now, the singer just wants peace. “A day in my shoes is a day in hell, believe it or not!” he tells fans. “Ya’ll don’t want to be in my predicament … Before ya’ll say I’m weak remember what I’ve been through … My soul cries for positivity. I’m not broken. I am STRONG.”

By now, Chris should realize that no one is going to hand him any positive press. Any overhaul in his image will have to be earned. So, he needs to take that strength and DO something positive with it.
