Adele fans rejoice: the diva is set to make a post-baby comeback at this year’s Oscars. The ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ singer will be performing ‘Skyfall’, the theme song to the latest James Bond film. During the 85th Academy Awards at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on February 24, the new mother will triumphantly take the stage for the first time since giving birth last October.
Adele will not only sing at the Oscars, but she might even win one. No, she is not featured in any films, but she co-wrote her song ‘Skyfall’ and it has been nominated in the best Original Song category. Since she has already won a Golden Globe for the Bond theme song, she may be considered a shoe-in for the Oscar win as well. With her 6 Grammy wins last year, at just 24 years of age, Adele is already one of the most accomplished artists of our generation.
She’s a new mom also who is fiercely protective of her infant son’s privacy. In the age of celebrities offering the first pictures of their children to the highest bidder, Adele has remained mum about her son’s name even. However, there is speculation that the little guy is named Angelo. Why Angelo? The singer was spotted wearing a chain around her neck that read “Angelo” while shopping in West Hollywood. Adele requested more time for privacy, but wearing that chain may have tipped paparazzi to her son’s moniker.
Before now, Adele’s baby boy was affectionately known to the world as “little Peanut.” The Grammy award winner confessed to calling him that in an interview where admitted that she was not ready to publicly reveal his name.
The new mom admits that motherhood has changed her. When taking about what has changed most, Adele said, “‘I am exhausted, that’s how it’s changed me”…
“That and eczema from boiling bottles.”
Hopefully, one thing that has not changed is her powerful voice.
