JR Smith Replies to Kris Humphries Jab with Harsh Kanye Tweet

Kris Humphries took a playful jab at the New York Knicks after the Brooklyn Nets were victorious on Monday, but JR Smith used Kim and Kanye to shut him up.

The Knicks-Nets rivalry has never been so personal before, but JR’s hot temper and tendency to be on Twitter too much took the beef to a new and very personal level.

At the end of the rivalry match, Smith attempted a three-point shot that hopelessly bounced off the backboard and sealed victory for the Nets by a mere three points.

After the game, NBA stars are known to make a joke here and there to celebrate their victory so it wasn’t unusual for Humphries to tweet “Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out! #Brooklyn.”

The tweet received several Retweets and favorites which caused JR to feel the need to respond to the Kris Humphries jab.

Smith, who has already been fined $25,000 by the NBA for tweeting an inappropriate pic of Tahiry Jose, apparently hasn’t learned his lesson.

He retweeted Kris’s jab and added “Wasn’t quiet when Kanye tore it down last month!”

Yes he took it there… and on Twitter at that.

Yeezy did take to Madison Square Garden for the 12-12-12 concert, but it isn’t hard to imagine that the NBA star is referring to Yeezy’s relationship with Kim rather than his performance.

No word out yet on if the comment will earn the smart mouthed basketball player another hefty fine, but it did earn him a victory in the battle of pride and Twitter stardom.

While Kris’s tweet earned quite a few retweets, Smith’s jab back earned over 40,000 retweets and over 15,000 favorites.

The comment would have been terrible no matter when he made it, but it certainly doesn’t help that Humphries is in a heated divorce battle with Kim Kardashian after their 72-day-long marriage.

While Humphries is waiting for Kim to admit that the marriage was staged and issue a “public apology,” Kardashian’s camp offered the NBA star $7 million to “shut up and go away.”

Neither side is budging which means the divorce isn’t getting any closer to being finalized and we’re sure that’s making the Twitter blow sting all that much worse for Mr. Humphries.
