Cops rushed to the home of Chris Brown after a false domestic violence call was placed implicating the singer. Surely, that’s the last thing the singer, convicted on domestic violence and assault charges in 2009, needed. In this wild hoax, callers claimed there was a domestic dispute at the 24-year old singers house and that Brown’s mother had been possibly shot. Of course, cops rushed to the scene only to find members of Brown’s staff doing their normal daily routine.
His mother was unharmed. She didn’t actually arrive on the scene until after the cops came to check out the disturbance calls. She stayed at Brown’s home while the police did their due diligence by checking out the premises.
Perhaps the ‘Forever’ singer was targeted for this hoax less for his involvement in the infamous 2009 domestic violence case with sometimes girlfriend Rihanna, and more for his celebrity status. He’s just one of a few celebrities to experience what has been dubbed “celebrity swatting.” This new phenomenon is believed to be perpetrated by underage kids making false 911 calls, targeting unsuspecting celebrities. The calls are usually serious enough in nature that a swat team is assembled to address the situation. Along with Chris Brown, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber have been victims of celebrity swatting.
In other Chris Brown news, he and Rihanna are collaborating, yet again, on a song. The upcoming duet will mark the fourth time the controversial couple has made music together. The pair were spotted leaving the same studio at different times recently, sparking rumors of them working together again. Their latest collaboration was confirmed through a representative speaking on behalf of the couple.
The Bajan beauty and Brown were consistent media fodder in late 2012 after the announcement that the ‘Carpe Diem’ singer broke off his relationship with Karrueche Tran. Since then, there has been a love triangle with the three of them, with Chris being spotted with both women; sometimes within hours of each other. It seems as if Brown has made a decision for good, as he rang in the new year with Rihanna overseas, leaving Tran in the dust.
As of now, there is no word about when the upcoming duo’s new song together will be released or who’s album it will be featured on. Since Rihanna and her beau Brown are flying under the radar, there is little to report on the on-again, off-again nature of their relationship. As the pair would say anyway, it’s ‘Nobodies Business.’
