Atlanta Business Chronicle in November reported that construction would start in January. It should be complete by Aug. 29, 2014, in time for the start of football season.

The College Football Hall of Fame will be a 95,000-square-foot attraction that will have about 30,000 square feet of exhibit space. It will be adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta.

The total project cost is $66.5 million. The majority of those funds already have been committed through sponsorships and contributions.
