The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is showing no signs of vanishing. After a decade hiatus, leatherface is back and ready to put his chainsaw back to work. In a new theatrical clip for Texas Chainsaw 3D, leatherface’s antics seem nerve racking, scary and chilling, showing that he’s out to handle his psychotic business as usual.
Texas Chainsaw 3D is a sequel to the first Massacre film, and through a flashback, it will show details of what happened at the end of the original film and why Leatherface is making a dramatic comeback.
Actress Tania Raymonde, who is a co-star in the film, described the film in a recent interview as:
“It’s just like a really frickin’ scary movie. Some dude in a mask made of human skin chasing you with a chainsaw? That’s scary to anyone — that’s scary to people who’ve seen the original, and it’s scary to people who’ve never heard of ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre.’ So I think it’s universally going to freak people out.”
The film is slated to hit theaters on January 4th, 2013. The new teaser trailer is below:
