Bethenny Frankel has confirmed the rumors that she has separated from her husband of nearly three years, Jason Hoppy, and is admittedly having a tough time with the split.
The Real Housewives of New York City star revealed during the show that her marriage was in trouble and that she even had to save it from “rock bottom” on several occasions.
Now, however, she just can’t save the marriage anymore.
“It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating,” she said in a statement Saturday. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice of our family.”
The good news is, the couple has agreed that their two year old daughter is the most important thing in their lives and they will continue to raise their adorable tot Bryn Hoppy together.
“We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority,” the reality star continued. “This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”
According to Frankel herself she has been “fighting” for her marriage for years, and it’s been hard for her to realize that she simply can’t win this fight.
She even took to Twitter to inform her fans of the sad, but expected news.
“I am heartbroken. I am sad. We will work through this as a family,” she tweeted yesterday Dec. 23.
Although her marriage hasn’t been successful, her career on the other hand has flourished.
Much like Nene Leakes, this housewife has turned her reality stardom into a full blown entrepreneurial career.
The 42-year-old has created her own Skinnygirl line of cuisine, cocktails, and nutrition products.
In addition to her successful Skinnygirl brand, she has published four books and earned her own spin off, Bethenny Getting Married?
In 2013 she will also be releasing her own talk show, Bethenny, which will air nationally on Fox stations.
