If the first Dimension Films’ trailer for Scary Movie 5 is indicative for what’s to come, the audiences might throw tomatoes at the screens. The first trailer for the horror comedy spoof has been released, but it doesn’t show much funny promise.
The trailer displays the movie’s unfunny acting and over-the-top comedy which looks as though it missed the mark this time around. The trailer also featured a few no name new actors along with cameos from big names including Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan and Katt Williams, but it still seems to have failed.
Scary Movie 5 spoofs Paranormal Activity, Black Swan, Inception, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and 127 Hours. The plot of the centers around “three dancers, one veteran performer and two upstarts who are also best friends, vying for the lead in a new production from a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed director”(IMDB).
Dimension Films may want to release a few more trailers which features better content then this, or they may be in deep trouble at the box office. Scary Movie 5 is slated to hit screens April 12, 2013. Trailer below:
