As production continues for the fifth installment of the Scary Movie franchise news broke by way of the Hollywood reporter that Katt Williams will be joining the cast of Scary Move 5.
Williams’s will be starring along side fellow scandalous actors such as, Charlie Sheen, Mike Tyson, Angela “Big Ang” Raiola, Terry Crews, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Walsh, Heather Locklear, Jasmine Guy, Sheree Whitfield, Audrina Patridge, Kendra Wilkinson, Molly Shannon, Marisa Saks, Angie Stone and Erica Ash.
Malcolm Lee who also directed Soul Men, Roll Bounce and The Best Man will direct Scary Movie 5 and the script will be from Lee and David Zucker.
Scary Movie 5 follows a Snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French dance company director Pierre is putting on a new production. Jody (Tisdale), a Caucasian late-20s mother of two and her late-20s African American friend Kendra (Ash) are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her. The highly skilled mid-30s Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather Daltry (Shannon), gets cut from the production and goes berserk.
The Wayans family who is credited for creating the franchise comedy, will have no part in the production of the film.
Scary Movie 5 is schedule for a April 12, 2013 release.
