Evelyn Lozada reunited with her ex-husband Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson in court Monday morning to drop the restraining order against him.
It was the moment we all knew would happen sooner or later. Evelyn is doing her best to forgive Johnson and dropping the restraining order is definitely a major milestone.
The couple was happily married for a short amount of time when Lozada discovered her man had been cheating on her back in August. Once she confronted her then husband about the matter, he head butted the petite reality star so hard that she had to get stitches.
After the violent attack, Ev quickly filed for divorce – ending the one month marriage and cancelling the VH1 wedding special that was scheduled to air not long after the fight.
Ever since then Evelyn’s ex has been all over TV and the internet begging for another chance and wanting the world to realize he is not the monster that the media makes him out to be.
After seeking help from a life coach of his own and even taking some yoga classes, the NFL star admitted that he had anger issues but has found much better ways to manage his anger.
As for getting back the girl, however, the future of Evelyn and Chad is still uncertain.
He obviously still has much love for the Puerto Rican beauty and even got her face tattooed on his leg after they had already divorced.
While the Miami Dolphins wide receiver has been busy campaigning his love for the Basketball Wives reality star, she has been busy building her own brand outside of reality TV.
The reality star’s flawless curves earned her a fitness deal YouthH2O and even snagged her a position as a celebrity health blogger on Latina.com.
Her fan base was so heavy during the launch of her first fitness article on the blog that it actually crashed the site.
Her beach ready body came in handy too as she joined the collection of famous faces who are stripping to their birthday suits in support of PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign.
She admitted that although it has certainly been a year full of ups and downs, she has been able to push through with the help of family and friends.
“This year has been a really, really tough year for me,” the fitness guru told RumorFix. “I would probably say that I have learned that I am pretty patient. It’s just been challenging, honestly it’s kind of an emotional roller coaster…I have family and friends that have been very, very supportive.”
Along with support from friends and family she also received a helping hand form one of the best life coaches in the industry, Iyanla Vanzant.
Ev appeared on the season premiere episode of Iyanla Vanzant’s “Fix My Life” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.
She also admitted that she has forgiven Chad and definitely believes in giving second chances.
“I do believe in second chances,” she said during the interview. “I actually had someone ask me that recently, and I do. I’m not bitter, things happen and yeah, I do believe in second chances. I would want somebody to give me a second chance, and you never know.”
The reality star turned fitness blogger made it clear that rekindling the relationship with Johnson isn’t out of the question, but it definitely isn’t her priority for now either.
