The holiday season is in full swing and the Atlanta start-up community is still working but with a festive spirit particularly at Hypepotamus, the newest co-working space in Midtown.
Since opening its doors in spring this year, the organization began with the warm but fuzzy (by Atlanta standards) mission to be the place where designers, entrepreneurs and developers interested in building companies in the B2C space can come to collaborate. But based on the recent spate of activities – hackathons, monthly pitch nights a.k.a. Start-up Village and office hours by members of the Home Depot – Hypepotamus’ is mission is evolving and slowly taking shape.
Founded by Heath Hyneman and Kevin Wallace who previously collaborated on a wildly successful e-commerce company, Hypepotamus recently added veteran organizer Scott Henderson as its executive director.
