Star Trek Into Darkness is coming together quite well. Today, the first trailer for director J.J. Abrams’ upcoming sci-fi sequel has been released. Paramount referred to this trailer as an “Announcement Trailer”, which is a little over one minute. This version will be followed by their December 14 full-length trailer, which will be shown in theaters in the previews before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve, Peter Weller and Noel Clarke.
The official synopsis describes the Star Trek Into Darkness as:
In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.
