Kim Kardashian has always been obsessed with Kate Middleton, but apparently the admiration only goes one way.
Earlier this month, the reality star stated that she wanted to have tea with the Duchess, but Middleton reportedly wouldn’t be caught dead with the flashy, sex tape star.
“Kate can’t stand their style, and from what she knows about their TV show, it’s just a bunch of trashy people primping and yelling at each other,” an insider told the National Enquirer. “She’s far too polite to diss Kim to her face, but she’s got enough on her plate without having tea with someone like her.”
Apparently Kate isn’t just concerned about being seen with the 32-year-old reality star, but she would also rather not be caught dead in our clothing line either.
The middle sister of the Kardashian clan sent Prince William’s wife some exclusive pieces from her collection which were immediately returned back to the reality star turned “fashion designer.”
According to the Palace, however, the Duchess sends back all the clothes that are often sent to her for free in an attempt to make sure she isn’t endorsing any particular brand.
“The Duchess gets free clothes sent to her every day of the week, and she always send them back,” the supposed royal insider explained. “The royal family is very careful about not being seen to endorse any product. It’s just not proper. Quite apart from that, the Kardashian outfits just aren’t appropriate for a duchess.”
In other words, the royal family seems to find Kardashian’s collection to be more tacky than classy – and we would have to agree.
“Kate is hardly going to turn up for an event with the queen in a cheap leopard-print miniskirt or gold sequined jacket,” the source added.
Despite the frequent rejection from the royal family, Kimmy K still seems to be obsessed with the royal fashion icon as continues to mimic several of the Duchess’s best outfits. The most obvious “copy cat” look was when Kanye’s boo stepped out in the same red McQueen dress that Middleton had worn just a short while before. Kim’s version of the dress was a little more Kiminized as the reality star’s dress was sleeveless and much shorter than Kate’s.
Even Mr. West seems to have a slight obsession with the royal couple as he even took over his girlfriend’s wardrobe and threw out the normally colorful and vibrant outfits that the American socialite was known for.
Sources revealed that Kanye has even been pressing Kim to wear more natural make up in order to more closely resemble the look of Prince William’s wife.
Whether or not Kanye’s girlfriend will be upset with Duchess for rejecting her clothes and tea invitation isn’t for certain, but her obsession over Middleton is likely to continue.
