Gossip Girl’s two hour season finale has officially been set for December 17th, thus ending its five and a half year run. It was announced last year that the show would just be back for half a season this fall, so this news is really no surprise. I guess the big announcement over a month in advance will get Gossip Girl fans mentally prepared to say goodbye to their favorite Upper East Siders, that is if the show still has any fans…
The show centers on five rich and attractive young New Yorkers and their terribly difficult lives as Manhattan’s elite. Every episode is choc full of high fashion, sex, and oodles of money. Fan or not you have to agree that the cast is smoking hot and the fashion is even hotter. The show stars fashionista Leighton Meester, a brooding and adorable Penn Badgley, the finely chiseled Chace Crawford, a slimy yet satisfying Ed Westwick, and Hollywood’s hottest blonde starlet (and newlywed!) Blake Lively.
Ok, I’ll admit I was a fan of the show in its early days, but the drama just got too thick for me to take. I think many fans would agree that the show is about 2 years past its expiration date. At least now it officially has one.
