While he’s definitely played some eccentric characters like Nathaniel Ayers in The Soloist, Dean “MF” Jones in Horrible Bosses and Django in Quienton Tarantino’s next flick, Django Unchained, the actor has yet to play a super villain.
Foxx would be cast alongside Andrew Garfield as Spidey, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and potentially The Descendent’s Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane.
The actor even dressed up as Electro for Halloween, just to see how it felt. He tweeted: “Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. The costume fits well.” The Academy Award wining actor has definitely proven his skills on screen. He’s sure to bring an unparalleled performance if he chooses to go forward with the role.
