Hulk Hogan Suing Over Sex Tape

Sex tapes have a way of coming back and smacking the participants’ in the ass. Again, in some cases. Hulk Hogan, however, is smacking a whole slew of asses to the tune of $100 million for a recently released tape that he says he didn’t even know was being made.

Hogan is suing his former best friend, disc jockey Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, the DJ’s ex-wife, Heather, and the celebrity gossip website Gawker.com after a sex tape involving Hogan and Heather was posted online. Filed on Monday, the two lawsuits contend that Hogan had consensual sex with his best friend’s wife about six years ago in the Clemses’ home. He contends that he did not know he was being secretly recorded, which is a crime in the state of Florida.

“Mr. Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms,” attorney Charles Harder said.

Hold up, hold up, hold up, wasn’t Hogan in the Clem’s bedroom?

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, filed the suits in a Federal court in Tampa. Hogan is seeking $100 million in damages from Gawker.com, a New York-based media company. He is suing the Clems for “severe and irreparable injury which cannot be adequately compensated by monetary damages.” Hogan is seeking the rights to the video in both lawsuits.

It’s unclear who gave the video to Gawker. Hogan has publicly acknowledged (on tape) that he had sex with Heather Clem while he was married to Linda Hogan. Bubba Clem has also alluded to the fact on his radio show that he let Hulk have sex with his then-wife. He, too, said it was  consensual and that “nobody put a gun to” Hulk’s head.

Stephen Diaco, a lawyer for Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, said Hogan was the best man at the Clemses’ wedding and he is also a godfather to their child.

Don’t these two know that swinging between friends always gets sloppy?
