Jennifer Lopez and daughter Emme Maribel Muniz made an appearance at Chanel’s runway show during Paris’s fashion week, sporting a pair of outfits from the designer. Four-year-old Emme was caught in the front row alongside her mother and her boyfriend Casper Smart. Lopez is in the midst of the European leg of her Dance Again World Tour, and was seen taking a rare break from her jam packed touring schedule. Her performance this Friday, October 5 in Lisbon, Portugal will be filmed in 3D for a documentary film named after the tour.
Still, the triple threat superstar seems to have her mind set on the future, hinting at a career as a politician in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph. “Might you see me entering politics? Yeah, there are women popping up in all different places now,” she said. “We’ll see as time goes on. You know how women are, we’ll start taking over little by little.”
In an interview with German press outlet Deutsche Presse-Agentur, Lopez gave her own stance on this year’s elections, and her support for President Barack Obama.
“I just believe in him as a human being and as a person, and as a president and as a leader,” she said. “I feel like it’s a tough job. For anybody and everybody. But I do believe he’s trying to do his best, and I think that has value and merit.”
Lopez, 43, was dubbed the “world’s most powerful celebrity” earlier this year, has shown no signs of slowing down since departing “American Idol.” She is currently developing a pilot for a new series with ABC Family, titled “The Fosters,” which will feature a lesbian mixed-race couple played by Teri Polo and Sherri Saum raising their children. Lopez will continue her tour throughout the rest of 2012, before closing it out in Brisbane, Australia on December 18.
