Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom celebrated their third anniversary Thursday despite rumors that fame and stardom was pushing the couple towards a divorce.
The reality TV couple curse was no match for Khloe and Lamar who are happily celebrating three years of marriage and appear to be even more in love now than ever.
“Happy anniversary to my best friend, my partner in crime and the love of my life – my husband,” the 28-year-old Kardashian posted on her website. “Over the past three years, I have experienced happiness that I never dreamed possible.”
Khloe then posted a picture of the number 3 that had been constructed out of romantic rose petals on her bed.
“Thank you for making me feel like a princess every single day,” Odom’s wife added. “I love you forever!”
The other members of the Kardashian clan were skeptical about how quickly their sister had been swept off her feet and at one point had a lot of doubts about the basketball star joining their family tree.
Since then, however, the family has seen just how madly in the love the two are and sister Kourtney even made a post on her website dedicated to the love birds.
“I’m obsessed with Khloe of course and when Lamar came into her life and she told us they were getting married two weeks after knowing him and before I had ever met him, I was skeptical,” the oldest Kardashian sister admitted. “But I absolutely love the way that Lamar loves Khloe every day and the woman that she has become. Happy Anniversary Khloe and my little Lam Lam. I love you both madly.”
The mother of two titled the adorable post “Khloe + Lamar = Love.”
Part of the reality couple’s success has probably got a lot to do with the fact that they both are deciding to step out of the spotlight a little bit.
“We just wanted to prioritize a little,” Odom’s wife told People. “We just wanted a little pause. Part of being married is knowing when your husband needs your support.”
The famous couple has decided to cancel their reality show Khloe and Lamar at least until Odom’s career is back on track.
Now that they will only be appearing on Keeping up with the Kardashians, the baby Kardashian sister feels “there’s less pressure on us.”
It’s probably about time they stepped out of the limelight because although the reality star is used to camera always being around, the new life was quite a shock for the NBA star.
According to an anonymous source who is rumored to be very close to Khloe’s husband, “All this fame stuff is taking a huge toll on Khloe’s relationship with Lamar. When he got let go from [the] Lakers, he realized that the show was nothing but a distraction.”
The 32-year-old New York native is leaving the television world behind and going back to his true love, basketball… without all the distractions.
His socialite wife on the other hand will still be loving the cameras almost as much as she loves her husband, but assures that the reality life won’t get in the way of her marriage.
“I’m a modern girl, but you should put your husband first,” the former Celebrity Apprentice contestant said. “I like to think divorce is not an option.”
Fingers crossed that the reality star will still agree with this statement if it ever comes down to an ultimatum between reality fame and true love.
