We usually see Rihanna making headlines for a lack of clothing, but this time when she showed up at the launch of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Brooklyn inside Barclays Center, the new home of the Nets, her wardrobe got attention because it had way more material than usual—her pajamas.
Rihanna has been busy this summer, jetting around the globe playing sold-out arenas, recording a new album, “Diamonds,” whose first song premiered this week, slipping onto yachts in St. Tropez with her former lover (and abuser) Chris Brown, and never passing up the chance for another party.
The 24-year-old star stepped into the new nightclub of her mentor, Jay-Z, last night looking extremely casual and all laid-back in an Acne ensemble that covered her entire body—though she did manage to unbutton a few of the buttons on the top when she took pictures to reveal her still-tight abs. Maybe she was keeping it conservative so as not to upset the boss man, Jay-z, who has been critical of her wild ways in the past.
According to TMZ, Rihanna was spotted partying way too hard alongside Ne-Yo in LA. Witnesses claim she was so intoxicated that she vomited on the dance floor—well, into a napkin in plain sight—then was given a towel to “freshen up.” The would-be public embarrassment didn’t stop the party however, as they allegedly partied until 5:30AM then moved to another locale, the Spearmint Rhino Stripclub.
But while Riri and J.Cole both showed up to support Jay Z at the 40/40 launch, Beyonce was nowhere to be seen. Maybe she stayed home with Blue Ivy—after all, she is the new mom of a eight-month-old. But this event did seem like a big deal, one where you would expect to see the wife. But we’re NOT going to suggest she’s pregnant. Jay-Z shut that one down quite thoroughly earlier this week.
“Tonight? No,” he said, when asked if he was having another baby at an event at his Manhattan 40/40 club.
“Absolutely not,” he said, when asked if he would have another baby in nine months.
And just to make sure that he wasn’t being coy, E! News covered its bases and asked if he and Beyonce would be expecting a baby before then.
“No. Not in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or nine months,” he said.
Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles also told “Access Hollywood,” “It’s gonna happen when it’s time, but not right now.”
And when asked if she wanted more grandchildren, she said, “of course I do! I harass her all the time.”
As grandma Tina acknowledges, it’s going to happen at some point—just not right now. Back in May, Beyonce told “Entertainment Tonight” that she “definitely” wants more kids.
“I don’t know how many,” she said. “God knows, I don’t know yet.”
