First Image Of Jamie Foxx As President In 'White House Down' Released

The first photo of Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum from thriller White House Down has been released, via an on-set report by E! In the pic, Foxx appears to have a worried looks on his face as Tatum crouches down next to him.

White House Down is an action thriller which stars Channing Tatum as a Secret Service agent, whose job is to protect the President during an invasion. Foxx will play the President of the United States, but he won’t be the first black actor to play an American president. Morgan Freeman (Deep Impact) and Dennis Haysbert (24) are also a few other black actors who have portrayed the head of the state.

Garcelle Beauvais, who co-starred with Foxx on The Jamie Foxx Show, will reunite with him in White House Down to play his wife, the First Lady. Also starring in the film is Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Joey King, Richard Jenkins and Lance Reddick.

White House Down was written by James Vanderbilt and produced by Mythology Entertainment partners Bradley Fischer, Vanderbilt, and Laeta Kalogridis. The film is slated to be released June 28, 2013.
