Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones have taken their relationship past “Love and Hip Hop” and are now getting ready for their own reality spin-off on Vh1.
The premier episode is scheduled to air on Monday, September 24, and will follow the recently engaged reality TV couple on their journey towards marriage.
The show’s trailer reveals a heated argument between Chrissy and Mr. Jones about the one thing that every couple should discuss before marriage – having kids.
“I don’t think right now is the time for babies… are you ok with that,” the 40-year-old asks her fiancé who immediately showed his quick temper and attitude.
A later clip shows the feisty former Love and Hip Hop star yelling back at her man saying, “You’re just talking about making a baby, you’re not talking about making a change!”
As the confrontation boils, another clip shows the Dipset rapper admitting that “nobody said it was easy.”
Either way, the hip hop star is still madly in love with Chrissy telling her, “I want to have a family with you, chill out, and settle down.”
In addition to following the engaged couple as they take on the trials and challenges that come with getting married, the reality program will also follow Jim’s mother who is sure to bring a very unique type of energy to the show.
Jim’s mother, or Momma Jones, does have a playful attitude but as the world saw during Love and Hip Hop she was known for her constant drama especially with Jones’ fiancé.
The idea of a spin off happened after the couple had a falling out with the producers from Love and Hip Hop so instead of feuding with producers, they made the decision to co-produce their own reality hit on the same network.
The season premiere will air at 9:30pm on Monday.
