Tameka Foster Denied Second Custody Trial

Tameka Foster’s bad luck has gotten worse. Foster’s appeal for a new custody hearing has been rejected, according to TMZ.

Foster filed an appeal after she lost custody of sons Usher V, 4, and Naviyd,3 , ex-husband Usher Raymond. She claims Raymond won custody because his lawyer donated money to the presiding judge’s re-election campaign a few years ago. However, the judge claims that information has been public since 2008 and it did not influence the judge’s decision.

According to sources close to Foster, she plans to appeal the case. This decision is the latest of issues that has plagued Foster. She lost her 11-year-old son Kile Glover to a jet skiing accident last month. Despite that tragedy, she chose to go through with the custody battle even though Raymond wanted it delayed because of Glover’s passing, a move Foster called “bogus.”

The decision came as a surprise to Foster, who argued that Raymond’s tour schedule would prevent him from effectively parenting his sons and that he had a bad relationship with his mother. Raymond argued that Foster used to try to prevent him from seeing his sons. His lawyer also questioned Foster’s parenting ability, saying “does not have the emotional stability or capacity to bond with them, and therefore she is handicapped.”

After the decision was announced, Foster took to her Twitter page to give her opinion on the outcome of the case. “Money can buy many things… But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail. I must continue to believe this. Stand firm,” she wrote.

While Foster shuffles legal papers, Raymond will be on the small screen talking to Oprah Winfrey. The “Climax” singer is the latest celebrity to sit on the multimedia queen’s couch for her OWN show “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” The interview will air tonight at 9 p.m.
