Christina Aguilera’s cover for her latest single ‘Your Body’ is on fire! Xtina revealed the cover earlier today and also confirmed the album will be called ‘Lotus’ dropping in November…and she’s not returning to ‘The Voice’ for a fourth season!
On why she called her album ‘Lotus’:
“Lotus. Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives.”
On the sound of the new album:
“Conceptually I didn’t target one particular sound/genre. I made [music] that felt good.”
‘Your Body’ will get its official release on Friday, September 17th and judging by that cover it will be something sexy.
On leaving “The Voice” after three seasons:
“[It] kept me away from my heart, which is creating my own music. It’s been a joy to be a part of other people’s journey, to be able to inspire and be a part of new singers coming up in this business. But I was starting to get really worried and concerned that I wouldn’t have the time to go and be an artist again.”
She added, “Mark made it very clear that these chairs are always our chairs,” she says. “He said, ‘I understand the only reason the show’s going to work is if it doesn’t get stale.’ And he totally understood that I needed something to fulfill my creative soul, and said ‘this chair will always be yours to come back to whenever you do what makes you the best.’”
