A Los Angeles coroner has confirmed that Green Mile actor Michael Clarke Duncan died on Monday of natural causes.
Assistant Coroner Chief Ed Winter said that the actor’s personal physician signed off on the actor’s death as being natural, and the coroner’s office found no reason to question it.
Duncan died, aged 54, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A., where he was being treated for a heart attack. He “suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered,” said his fiancée, Reverend Omarosa Manigault
Michael Clarke Duncan was was well known for his role as a death row inmate in The Green Mile. Following his Oscar nominated performance, his career blossomed and he appeared in several hit films such as Armageddon, Planet of The Apes, Breakfast Of Champions, The Whole Nine Yards and Sin City.
Tom Hanks paid tribute to Duncan, saying “He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile. He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned.”
