Rihanna Nearly Tossed from London Club for Making a Scene

Nobody can ever accuse Rihanna of not living life to the fullest.

The songstress nearly got thrown out of a London nightclub for causing a ruckus, but the bouncers changed their minds at the last minute when they realized who she was, according to witnesses.

The whole mess at The Rose Club started when a clearly inebriated Rihanna jumped up on a table in a private area of the club, but the table couldn’t support her weight and collapsed—sending champagne bottles and broken glass scattering everywhere.

That’s when the bouncers moved in, grabbing the Bajan beauty and beginning to escort her out of the club—until friends started yelling at them.

“They were trying to eject her when her girlfriends starting screaming, ‘That’s Rihanna, you idiots!'” said onlookers.

Rihanna pleaded with them, saying, “Don’t you know who I am?” according to the Daily Mail.

“Ri was telling the bouncers to get off and there was a scuffle,” one witness said. “I don’t think they recognised her. Finally, before they got to the exit doors, they realised their mistake and the club manager ordered free drinks for the table. And a new table, of course.”

Rihanna stayed at the spot until 4 a.m., then headed to another party at a friend’s house until 6:20 a.m. She is supposed to be in the UK doing work on her fashion line for River Island and also has been spotted at a south London recording studio.
Rihanna will be one of the performers at the MTV Video Music Awards live from the Staples Center on Thursday, where she is up for nearly every big award of the night.
Earlier this year, the star was hospitalized for “exhaustion” after all the partying and late nights caught up to her—to the point where her boss Jay-Z reportedly told her to calm it down.
