Hurricane Isaac Blows 'The Butler' Movie Production Down…

Lee Daniel’s film ‘The Butler’ has met a match that’s too big to handle. Production for the upcoming film has been shut down for a few days. Isaac, the category 1 hurricane which recently hit New Orleans, is the culprit behind the temporary set-backs.

In result of the anticipated hurricane, the entire cast and crew were moved to safer locations. According to one source: “The cast and crew for the film is huge, and it was a giant operation to get them out. But everyone has been taken to safety. The stars were flown out over the weekend right up until the airport closed”.

The Butler will tell the story of Eugene Allen. Allen was a black butler who worked at the White House from 1952 to 1986, serving under eight presidents. The film’s concept is based on an article written about Eugene’s life story by Wil Haygood. Allen gained employment at the White House at a time when black people were still discriminated against.

The film features a long list of impressive actors which includes Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo, Matthew McConaughey, John Cusack, Alan Rickman, Terence Howard, Cuba Good Jr., Jane Fonda, Nicole Kidman, Lenny Kravitz, Colman Domingo, Pernell Walker, Minka Kelly, Jess Williams and Robin Williams.

Production for The Butler will continue next week.
