VH1 isn’t missing a beat quickly putting Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones’ show where Evelyn Lozada and Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson’s show would have been.
Evelyn and Chad saw their wedding special canceled after a domestic dispute that sent Evelyn to the hospital and Chad arrested. While the former Love & Hip Hop star Chrissy was already filming her own show the unexpected events may have forced VH1 to move faster.
Aptly titled Chrissy and Mr. Jones, cameras will follow the hip hop couple as they balance their work and personal lives. In the 21-second clip featured during the reunion of Love & Hip Hop this past Monday, audience saw Jim Jones make his case for starting a family while Chrissy hoped to focus on her career.
Chad and Evelyn on the other hand are headed for divorce. Since the incident the reality star has remained quiet only popping up twice on the beach. It was confirmed today that her first interview will be given to Good Morning America. GMA darling Robin Roberts was originally scheduled to do the interview but after an expected request from Ev to film the interview at her hotel and Robin’s own medical leave for a bone marrow transplant, the interview was handed off to commitments Amy Robach.
No word on when the interview will air. Chrissy & Mr. Jones premieres Monday, September 24 at 9:30 p.m. on VH1.
