One of the most gifted artists of our time, Anita Baker is back with a new album due out in two months and a new single that’s available now, for your listening pleasure. It’s a remake of the 1999 Tyrese hit, “Lately,” done in Baker’s inimitable style. She doesn’t come to us often these days, but when Anita does come back she quickly reminds us of how she’s given us some of the most affecting R&B of our generation.
Baker’s full length album will feature 10 tracks. Called “Only Forever,” the album is due in stores (and on the Internet) on October 23. Some of her classics include “Sweet Love,” “Giving You the Best That I Got,” “I Apologize,” “Rapture” and “Body and Soul.”
Take a listen to “Lately.”
