Robert Pattinson Leaves Kristen Stewart; Is 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' In Jeopardy?

The situation seems to be continuing on a downward spiral for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, his real life lover and Twilight co-star of three years .

Stewart has publicly issued an apology for her infidelity with Rupert Sanders, the married director of Snow White and the Huntsman — in which she starred alongside his wife, Liberty Ross. However, a “heartbroken and angry” Pattinson has decided to move out from the L.A. home the couple shared, showing he has no immediate plans of reconciling with her.

Now, concerns have begun to surface regarding the future of the two young actors’ careers and films they’re attached to.  Some have wondered if the same real-life/on screen romance that helped elevate the Twilight viewing frenzy, could be the one that also brings it down.

Some industry experts predict that as the scandal continues to unfold, both Stewart and Pattinson will see a career boost because the adage “all press is good press” remains even more true in these days and times.

Veteran industry publicist Howard Bragman told TheWrap: “Twenty years ago or 30 years ago controversy was a career killer. Now it can be career Viagra. We kind of embrace controversy.”

Yet others feel there is a possibility that the fallout of Twili-Gate could harm the final installment of the series, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt 2.

BoxOffice.com editor-in-chief Phil Contrino told TheWrap: “I think it could hurt it. The fact that they’re together in real-life created some of the appeal for its fans.”

The latter is an interesting position due to the fact that Pattinson and Stewart will have to spend a lot of time together regardless of what they decide to do with their relationship.

Not only will they have to make several appearances together in order to promote a film that portrays them on screen as two lovebirds, but now they share a child in the film. Therefore the way they act around each another could have a major impact on fans.
