Tameka Raymond, Ryan Glover Agree To Remove Son Kile Off Life Support

Kile Glover has died. Tameka Raymond and Ryan Glover has made the heart wrenching decision to remove their 11-year old son off life support.

Kile Glover, the 11-year-old son of Tameka Raymond and Ryan Glover and former stepson of R&B star Usher who was declared brain-dead in early July, was taken off life support and died today in an Atlanta hospital.

Glover had shown no signs of recovery after being struck by a jet ski as he was tubing in Lake Lanier on July 7, about 40 minutes north of Atlanta. His family were told the child was brain-dead not long after the accident and had to make the painful decision of taking him off life support.

No charges were filed against Jeffrey Hubbard, a 38-year-old family friend who ran over Glover and another child, who was not seriously hurt. The kids were sitting in inner tubes that were pulled by a pontoon boat, a common scene at Lake Lanier. The inner tubes trail behind the boat and are pulled by a rope. The boats can reach speeds high enough for the activity to be fairly thrilling for kids. The lake was especially crowded that weekend after the 4th of July.

Usher provided a private jet for his ex-wife’s use and visited Kile Glover in the hospital at least once. He was reportedly “devastated” by Kile’s condition. According to reports, Usher was “extremely close” to his stepson.

There have been reports that the enormous cost of keeping Kile on life support would not be covered by Foster’s health insurance. But a representative of Lake Lanier posted on its website: ”I was told that no child will be turned away or asked to leave the hospital solely due to the family’s ability to pay for healthcare. To suggest that Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is forcing Usher’s former wife to consider pulling the plug on her son because of any possible lack of insurance coverage is bogus.”

No plans have been announced yet on Kile Glover memorial services.

This morning local Atlanta DJs DJ GreggStreet tweeted: Lil RG is an angel now, Ryan, Tameka, Usher, and the whole Glover family we gotta make him proud.

Frank Ski also added, Crying! I will miss you Kyle! Trying to be strong for my foundation trip today. Sometimes life is so unfair.

This is truly heartbreaking for Tameka and her family.
