Jennifer Williams is moving on after dropping her lawsuit against Nia Crooks for slapping her on season four of Basketball Wives.
Jennifer was caught in a heated battle with Evelyn Lozada’s assistant Nia Crooks over a lost pair of keys and other unresolved issues. Within minutes Nia walked over to Jennifer and smacked her!
After filming was completed Jennifer confirmed she’d filed a police report and a lawsuit. Basketball Wives executive producer Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn and Tami Roman quickly banded against Jennifer for seeking justice.
It looks like now Jennifer has had a change of heart – which seems counter productive since she was fired for that very reason. The Lucid Cosmetics CEO’s rep released a statement saying their client “is already dealing with her difficult divorce and did not feel that it was necessary to continue to pursue civil action.”
Nia’s attorney used the opportunity to further trash Jennifer for even filing the civil suit,
“We have always maintained that the frivolous lawsuit brought on by Jennifer Williams was nothing short of a last-gasp attempt to maintain her dwindling relevance on the Basketball Wives.”
Jennifer got wind of Nia’s attorney smart remarks and quickly responded on Twitter, “‘maintaining my relevance’ oh ok! Just be thankful and keep it moving.. Some ppl never get it! SMH!”
The reality star later added, “FYI- dropping a civil lawsuit doesn’t mean you don’t have to deal with the criminal charges!”
According to a Broward County official where the charges were filed Nia could face up to one year in jail if found guilty.
To forget about her BBW drama Jennifer headed out to an event in New York City with some girlfriends. Kat Deluna, Adrienne Bailon an actress Taraji P. Henson all joined Jennifer to celebrate the one year anniversary of Courvoisier Rose at Toy. See photos below:
