Mary J. Blige Joins Cast of ‘The Voice’

Mary J. Blige has confirmed she is the newest famous face on The Voice.

Blige will be an adviser for judge Adam Levine’s team on the hit show for the coming season. “I’ve always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige,” said Levine. “So it’s been great having her on ‘The Voice’ as an adviser to my team.” Alanis Morrisette and Robin Thicke were among the Maroon 5 frontman’s advising team last year.

Filming has started and Blige is very excited about her new role. “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team,” said the “Real Love” singer. This announcement came soon after Blige revealed that her and D’Angelo would be going on tour together.

Blige isn’t the only new addition to The Voice. Last week, crooner Michael Buble was announced as an adviser for Blake Shelton’s team. There hasn’t been any word on who would be advising Cee Lo Green’s and Christina Aguilera’s teams. The third season of The Voice will air on September 10 on NBC.
