It is the middle of summer and as other people are stripping down, Janet Jackson is staying wrapped up. Jackson was spotted in the Italian Rivera with her boyfriend Wissam Al Mana as they cruised around on a yacht. The superstar was wearing all black and was completely covered down to a pair of socks on her feet and a hat on her head. Despite the dismal ensemble, Jackson was beaming and appeared to be enjoying the quality time with her beau. The couple has been together since 2010.
As a spokeswoman for Nutrisystem, Jackson hasn’t been shy about flaunting her svelte new figure of late, so her decision to cover it all is somewhat curious.
Perhaps the vacation is a break away from the drama allegedly going on within her famous family. According to US Weekly, the “I Get Lonely” singer is feuding with her family over her niece’s career aspirations. Paris Jackson recently accepted a film role in “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys” and her aunt is reported to be “furious” about the role, according to a source.
“She feels it goes against Michael’s wishes to keep his kids out of the limelight until age 18,” the source said. “Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college.” Still, the 14-year-old wants to keep acting and is “hoping for more roles,” according to the source.
There is also drama over the execution of Paris’ father’s estate. According to X17, Janet and her siblings Rebbie, Randy, Tito and Jermaine are asking that the executors of Michael Jackson’s estate step down. The family accused the executors, John Branca and John McClain, of knowing the signature on their brother’s will was fraudulent and of taking “advantage of a grieving mother and family” in a three-page letter.
Branca is even accused of telling their mother Katherine Jackson, “I am Michael Jackson now.” Neither Branca nor McClain have responded to the letter.
