Beyonce is reaching out to her fans in hopes of charging them up for President Obama’s re-election campaign. The pop star along with Grammy Award winning artist Alicia Keys are doing their part to help the Obama’s. Alicia, a long time and very vocal supporter of the president tweeted to her 8.5 million followers,
“Women across America are fired up to vote for@BarackObama in 2012! Join me in Philly next Monday!
Monday came around and Alicia was in Philly as expected. Joined by Democratic National Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a representative from Florida, and Valerie Jarrett, a longtime adviser to the president, as well as Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D.,Pa.) and Lisa Nutter, first lady of Philadelphia, Alicia told the crowd, “There is a brilliant fire that is shooting forth from you, and I am emblazoned by you. This campaign gives people a voice, and a chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves.”
Beyonce showed her support in a more subtle way with a video expressing her deep appreciation for Michelle Obama. Beyonce who recently gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy, thanks the first lady for serving as a role model for her daughter to follow.
“She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady,” Beyoncé says. “No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope, she’s humble, loving, and sincere.”
