Kim Kardashian Targeted By PETA Again For Crocodile Purse

PETA has sunk its long, sharp claws into Kim Kardashian again. The aggressive animal rights organization is upset with Kardashian over a crocodile skin purse she had hanging from her arm.

“For every alligator or crocodile-skin accessory, an animal was likely beaten but still conscious and able to feel excruciating pain as his or her skin was peeled off,” a PETA representative told Radar Online. “These animals feel fear and pain and they don’t want to die. Alligators and crocodiles have no real legal protection, but they have done nothing to deserve the violent treatment that they endure.”

This isn’t the first time the fashion-conscious reality TV princess has been on PETA’s bad side. Last month, she was slammed for wearing python Christian Louboutin boots.

“They’d go well with a Dalmatian-fur coat, which is also illegal to sell in California and immoral to sell anywhere else,” quipped Wendy Wegner, spokesperson for PETA, comparing Kardashian to cartoon character Cruella Deville of 101 Dalmatians. A PETA member was also responsible for pouring a bag of flour all over the star during a red carpet event in March.

Kim isn’t the first Kardashian to be at odds with PETA. Her sister Khloe used to endorse the organization and even participated in their “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign but denounced them for the flour incident. “We all need to practice what we preach. I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA,” she said in a statement. “Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won’t be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise.”

There was no response from Kim Kardashian to her latest skirmish with the animal rights group. But Khloe’s name is still listed as a celebrity PETA supporters on a website called looktothestars.org.
