Rihanna performed in the rain at the Barclaycard Wireless Festival in London over the weekend despite dealing with financial issues and the death of her beloved grandmother.
She treated the audience to a performance of hits like “Umbrella,” “Only Girl (In The World)” and “We Found Love.” Rain started to pour during the concert but that didn’t deter the singer, nor did it send the fans running.
“Thanks for staying to watch me in the rain… Only in London would you guys stay to watch this show,” she said to her fans. After the show, Rihanna hit Jalouse nightclub with friend and singer Neyo.
Rihanna’s dedication is admirable considering the hard times she has recently faced. Her grandmother Clara “GranGran Dolly” Brathwaite succumbed to cancer last weekend. The “Where Have You Been” singer was seen at her funeral last Friday and has posted several tribute messages to her grandmother on her Twitter page.
The songbird is also facing financial woes because of mismanagement of her money and is suing former accountants Michael Mitnick and Peter Gounis as well as accounting firm Berdon LLP, who cost her millions, to recover an unspecified amount of money.
