IFC Films has released the trailer to the new upcoming indie dramedy entitled Why Stop Now.
The film, which star Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo, Tracy Morgan, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Sarah Ramos, is based on the tipsy-topsy story of Eli Smith (Eisenberg), a piano prodigy, and his mother Penny (Leo) who struggles with drug addiction. Events in the movie spiral out of control as the two face the mistakes of the past, the challenges of the future, and the possibilities of love.
The movie also centers around funny man Tracy Morgan, who plays a drug dealer named “Sprinkles” opposite Eisenberg’s character. The two engage in a whole host of crazy, manic, oddball and illegal substance transactions that catapult into one lunatic day.
Why Stop Now was written and co-directed by long-time screenwriter Ron Nyswaner alongside newcomer Phil Dorling. The film is slated for release on August 17th 2012.
